Meet Rita: A One-of-a-Kind Pup with a Heart of Gold 💖 Rita is a brave little mixed-breed pup, about a year old and 30 pounds of pure determination and joy. Once unable to use her back legs, Rita has made incredible progress—she can now go on long walks, walk up the stairs, and even jump on the couch just like a "normal" dog! While she may not move quite like every other pup, she’s no longer mobility impaired—her quirky gait just adds to her unique charm. She’s not just mobile—she’s playful too! Rita absolutely loves toys and enjoys playing with her dog friends. She’s also an incredibly quiet house guest, with just a soft whisper of a bark when she’s really excited. Rita is fully house-trained and crate trained, making her a breeze to have around the home. Rita does have a few lingering spinal quirks from past trauma, including a bulge between her shoulders and a lower back injury, but she’s thriving and doesn’t require any special equipment or ongoing treatment. She’s come so far and is living life to the fullest! This special girl is looking for a forever home where she can keep flourishing—a place filled with love, patience, and maybe a basket of toys.
