My story

After over a year in our care, Maryland finally landed in a foster home — getting her one step closer to forever. Over the last few months Maryland has settled in beautifully and learned how to be in a home setting. Maryland continues to work on the basics of being a dog to prepare her for her future home. She is house, crate and potty-trained. Maryland is incredibly affectionate and loves to be with her person, but she is completely fine being left alone for a work day. She’s the perfect mix of playful, cuddly and independent. Maryland is a dog that yearns for love from a human. Despite being 60 pounds, she absolutely thinks she’s a lap dog. She loves to lay on the couch or in bed with you, watching TV or taking a nap (where she has the cutest little snore). Maryland prefers her independence and kindly asks for no other pets in the home. She just wants a place where she can have all the love and attention for herself. Maryland has been waiting so long for the right person to come along — could it be you?
