My story

Newman is sensitive, watchful and affectionate. He's a cool dog, ready for dog- savvy folks willing to give him a bit of patience, lots of love, ongoing socialization - he's social with other dogs, and great at reading their cue. We also know that Newman is not comfortable around young children and toddlers - so an adult home (not expecting to have children) would be best for Newman. He can initially be a little independent and takes his time to warm up, but when he does, he becomes a sweetheart who seeks affection. - Some notes from his foster: He's aware, sensitive, inquisitive, and incredibly sweet. His love language is touch, and he loves a good snuggle and head rub. He is highly intelligent and learns tricks quickly (we've taught him a few tricks -- sit, down, place in his kennel, paw, and stay). He's learned to sit and wait for our cue when we feed him. He would do well in a home that allows him space to roam freely in their home. At night, he sleeps in his crate, though he prefers to free-roam in the house if he's left alone during the day. And in return he'll be the perfect boy, no destructive behaviors and potty trained! You can also check out additional photos at his IG page. Instagram handle - @senornewman Please apply for Newman if you would like to meet and welcome him into your family.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt NEWMAN, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
