My story

Meet Lyric – Your New Porch Companion Formerly known as Luna, this gentle-hearted girl is looking for a place to finally call home. Lyric came to us as a devoted mama of 7 pups (all happily adopted!), and now it’s her turn to be loved and cared for. Lyric was in the shelter patiently waiting for 11 months before she moved in to her current foster home where she is loving being able to finally relax.  Lyric is ready to start the next chapter of her life—one filled with cozy mornings, snuggles, and someone who sees the magic in her soft soul. About Lyric: Personality: Sweet, submissive, and a little shy at first, Lyric thrives in calm, patient environments. She’s especially tender around men and will need time to build trust. But once she does, she can't get enough! She loves kisses, cuddles, hugs, and lap sits. Lyric is an absolute velcro dog! She loves her humans and doggie friends more than anything.  Dog-Friendly: Absolutely! She loves most other dogs and perks up during playtime. Energy Level: Mostly chill, but she does love bursts of yard zoomies and engaging puzzle toys to keep her sharp! She is currently in an apartment and is doing amazing.  Not a Party Pup: Big gatherings overwhelm her, so she prefers controlled intros where she can sniff whoever is around her. She’s your classic "chill-on-the-porch-with-a-drink" kind of dog.  Training: Still learning! She’s not fully potty-trained yet and doesn't quite get the dog door, but she’s eager to please and wants to learn with the right guidance. Health: Recently completed heartworm treatment. She’ll need lifelong preventative care and check-ups, but she’s on the road to a happy, healthy life. Whether you're ready to adopt or open your home as a foster-to-adopt, Lyric is so ready to meet you.
