Meet Waffles! A loving five-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever mix from New York, NY, whose heart is as big as her 68-pound frame. Wrapped in a sleek black coat that glistens under the sun, Waffles is an energetic, playful companion with a deep affection for plush toys and cuddle sessions. If you’re looking for a constant companion who thrives on affection and companionship, Waffles just might be the perfect addition to your family! Waffles is a dog who knows her way around obedience, thanks to her formal training. She’s mastered commands like sit, stay, come, down, paw, and up, making her a well-mannered lady in many situations. But she’s not just about obedience; Waffles has a high-energy zest for life, making her an ideal partner for outdoor adventures in a spacious yard or open land where she can run to her heart’s content! However, Waffles’ journey hasn’t been without challenges. She’s selective with her canine friends and hasn’t had much interaction with cats, so her new family should be ready to manage these introductions carefully. Waffles also has exhibited some behavioral challenges, including biting incidents, and she requires a home with a guardian who is experienced, patient, and dedicated to continuing her training, ensuring she feels safe and secure in her environment and manage her triggers, such as strangers in the home. Despite these challenges, Waffles’ capacity for love and loyalty is immense. She’s happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up pets and cuddles, ready to bring joy and laughter into your life every day!
