My story

Hi, I am Freckles! My foster named me that because of the cute "freckles" on my lip where my whiskers grow. I am so happy to be in a home and ready for my next lease on life! My rescuer found me very pregnant and got me set up with a Houston Cares foster. We thought the babies would be here any day - three weeks later, I surprised them with nine (9!) kittens! That is a LOT of kittens and luckily I was a wonderful mom. I started off being frozen in fear of my foster. I was hungry, scared and very pregnant. However, I learned to trust my foster family and have also learned to come running for my twice-daily brushing sessions. I love them so much that my foster says my brush is included with my adoption! I am not afraid of dogs, so my foster thinks I would be fine with a cat-friendly dog. I may be ok with other cats but because I was exposed to a virus, any cats I meet should be up to date on their vaccines to be safe (also, although I was exposed, I am healthy so no need to worry there). I would love to find a home where I can relax, get brushed every now and then and live my best life as your sweet companion.
