Zeus

My story

Sweet Zeus has been waiting patiently at the rescue for his forever home since 2021. He is a gentle and very shy boy. Sadly, he experienced some trauma and neglect in his life prior to coming to One Love and is taking some time to trust people again. When he came in, he had the worst tooth and gum infection we had ever seen and needed extensive dental surgery and had to have lots of teeth removed. Now that he is all healed from his surgery, he is looking for a quiet, adult only home where he can be given lots of time and patience to learn to trust people again on his own terms. He is very peaceful and gentle, he just prefers minimal human interaction so will generally hide most of the day until he decides the home is safe, then he begins to act more like a normal cat (but still prefers minimal handling). After a month or so, he will warm up and occasionally allow pets from calm and gentle people. He is looking for a very special home with a very special, patient and understanding person who appreciates his introversion and can respect his personal space and co-exist with him without expecting him to be a cuddly lap cat. His brother Damien is very reliant on Zeus for company so we are hoping they can find a home together. Please say you are the special one who will take a chance on these brothers!
