My story

Hello, world! I'm Buckley, a 2-year-old red heeler mix with a little extra wiggle in my walk, thanks to something called cerebellar hypoplasia (or CH for short). Now, CH might sound fancy, but all it really means is that I have a unique swagger—think of me as your own personal, four-legged dance partner. My walk might be wobbly, but I don’t let it slow me down one bit! I was rescued from a tough situation, but those days are behind me. Now, I’m living the good life in my foster home, where I’m thriving and showing off my joyful personality every single day. Sure, I might take a tumble now and then—especially when I'm super excited—but I always bounce back with a smile (and maybe a little help from my friends). The best part? My condition isn’t contagious, and it won’t get any worse. I’m self-sufficient and love doing all the things a young pup should—running, playing, eating, and even riding in the car. I’m a pro at walking on a leash, I get along great with other dogs, and I absolutely adore kids. I sleep soundly in my crate at night and don’t need any special medications, just a little patience and a lot of love. I’m looking for a special family who can see past my wobbles and into my heart.
