My story

Axle is an 8-year-old boy who’s spent far too long waiting for a chance at a loving home. Found as a stray on 08/22/2024, he’s been watching the days pass by in the shelter, hoping for someone to choose him. He’s loyal, expressive, and ready to offer his heart to a family who can see the wonderful companion he is. Despite his time in the shelter, Axle remains hopeful for a second chance.Axle is selective with other dogs, especially males, and would do best as the only pet or in a home with careful introductions. He’s currently struggling with high Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) from being in the kennel environment for so long. What he needs most now is space to decompress, consistency, and the love of a patient adopter. Heartworm negative, Axle is ready to start fresh, and he deserves the chance to experience a peaceful, loving home where he can thrive.
