My story

Meet Attenborough! Attenborough entered San Bernardino City Animal Control as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on September 4th to become a Frosted Face. He is 9 years old and weighs 61 lbs. Handsome Atty is so sweet and good-natured, and his tail is always wagging. He gets along well with cats and other dogs, and he loves every person that her meets! Atty's Foster Mom shared what life is like with this bundle of joy in their home: "Atty is the best boy! He has the happiest demeanor. * Atty really loves his walks. He gets so excited anytime you bring out his leash. Although he's an old man, he still thinks he's a young pup! * Atty is highly food motivated and super easy to feed. He's also not pushy about food. My husband and I will often eat on the couch watching TV, and Atty is content to lay on his bed without begging. * He loves people! We've had people over, and he is so happy to see anyone walk through the door. The only time I've heard him bark was when a delivery person knocked, but he stopped soon after. * Atty is a goofball that likes to sleep on his back. * He is potty trained. We've left him for several hours without any accidents. He is fine with full run of the house. * Atty is totally chill riding in the car. * He is playful and SO HAPPY. Say anything to Atty, and he rolls over for belly rubs. He loves kisses, giving and receiving." On April 28th, Atty had a successful surgery to remove a benign tumor from his spinal cord called a meningioma that was causing him a lot of pain and inability to walk. He came through the surgery like a champ and was walking with the help of a harness the next day! (See video.) Atty is currently recovering at FFF, and when he is more mobile, he will return home with his wonderful foster parents. Attenborough still needs a forever home where he will be cherished for the rest of his years. Might it be with you?
