Meet Taffy! Some notes from her foster: We have found that now Taffy has warmed up and comfortable in our home she is also displaying being very dog reactive on walks. She finally got over her fear of our big dog and now they are best friends and play happily together. She is a love sponge and does still get very jealous of our dog getting attention at times. I would say that Taffy would do best in a home either with no other dogs or a family that is experienced and willing to put in the time and patience for Taffy to warm up to another dog. A smaller dog sibling might be easier. She wants to chase cats on walks, but would likely be intimidated by them in a home. She is the cutest funny little girl - likes to steal socks and toss them around like toys. She is pretty much potty trained- only a few accidents in the beginning but mostly due to not knowing our home/routine. She is playful and loves walks, treats and mealtime. She is timid of new people and does need some time to adjust. For her, I expect it will take a few meetings before an adopter would see her for the sweet dog that she is. Logistically; she is tiny so needs a secure yard. Does great in the car. And is ok with baths (although she will try to jump out of the sink). She does not food guard at all and lets us look at her teeth etc with no aggression. She is fine sleeping in a kennel if needed. She is good around teenagers but would likely be fearful of younger kids if they grab at her. She has the cutest underbite and crazy bed head all the time. What's not to love about that?!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt TAFFY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
