My story

Secondhand dogs make first class companions, and this fun, healthy and entertaining Hound mix is definitely first class! My name is Blaze, and I am around 9 years old, under 100 pounds, and I act much younger than my age. Are you looking for a handsome dog who is still young at heart – CHECK that’s me! Looking for a lovable and loyal companion – CHECK that’s me. Looking for a dog with a calm personality that will make you laugh when I talk to you – CHECK that’s me. Looking for a dog that has a patient demeanor– CHECK that’s me, Blaze!Staff say that I am one of the sweetest and smartest dogs you will ever meet. I am learning to come when called and get it right on the second try. I am also sensitive and can get my feelings hurt because I think I am a lap dog to be cuddled and hugged. I thrive on routines. I am not a digger and recently spent time at a foster home with three other dogs. We all got along well, and I enjoy living with older kids.I am looking for a loving home where I can relax and enjoy my senior years. I don’t have any behavioral issues, and I keep getting passed up for adoption because I’m not a young pup anymore. I respond to sit, shake and yummy treats!My previous owner couldn`t care for me any longer, so the Humane Society has provided me a place to get what I need to be ready for you to take me home. I got my teeth cleaned, had my ears treated, was neutered, and I am up to date on my vaccines. I have a microchip as well, so I am all set to go home with you today.So, bring your family and let`s do a “meet and see”.
