My story

Meet Mr. Bentley – Ready for His Forever Home! Where do we even begin with this boy? Mr. Bentley is truly one of the sweetest and most polite pups we've ever met. Just over a year old, he’s out of the puppy chewing phase, though he’s still learning what counts as a toy—so don’t be surprised if your kid’s stuffed animal or your favorite shoe ends up in his crate or on his bed! Thankfully, he’s more of a collector than a destroyer. He’s crate-trained and eats his meals there comfortably. There’s not a hint of food aggression in him. While a little shy at first, Bentley warms up quickly—especially with kids (whom he adores) and usually greets new people with curiosity and a quick sniff before settling in. He’s already learned “sit” and knows how to use the doggy door to go potty outside. Bentley is gentle, calm, and incredibly sweet with children of all ages. He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. He’s social with dogs of all sizes and shows zero interest in cats—just a sniff, and he’s off on his way. Bentley has had some beginner leash training, but with the summer heat, most of his practice has been indoors. Until it cools down, indoor dog park playdates or puzzle toys for mental enrichment would be great for him. He’s totally fine having a collar or leash put on—no fuss at all. Overall, Bentley is a relaxed, gentle soul with the most perfect temperament.
