My story

Izzy has been waiting at the shelter for what feels like forever, watching so many others find their families while she remains behind. She was surrendered through no fault of her own—her family fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. Since then, she’s held onto hope that someone will see her for the gentle, loving girl she truly is.Izzy has a skin condition that’s being managed, but what she really needs is the healing that only a real home can bring. She prefers to be the only pet, as she’s protective of her space and her things—understandable after all she’s been through. But once she trusts you, she will melt into your arms for cuddles and affection.Izzy is more than just a shelter dog. She’s a reminder that even the most loving hearts can be overlooked. She deserves a second chance, a warm bed, and someone to finally say, “You’re home.”
