My story

ABOUT ROSIE Rosie is an 8-year-old pittie mix who adores all people! Rosie was abandoned on our property, but we were able to locate her owners. They were no longer interested in keeping her, as her past was too challenging for them. Rosie was originally saved from a dog-fighting ring by a rescue group in Pennsylvania. Due to that experience, Rosie cannot live or interact with other animals and must be the only pet in the home. Despite her challenges with other animals, Rosie a complete sweetheart with every person she meets! More often than not, you can find a staff member or volunteer cuddled up with Rosie in her kennel. Rosie already knows basic commands, appears house-trained and walks well on a leash. She is very eager to please and food motivated to learn. Rosie adores exploring outdoors, rolling in the grass, and sprawling out at your feet for belly rubs. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
