My story

Meet Fern! This gorgeous girl has quite an interesting story. Her mom was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and went into boarding while awaiting an adopter. Well, the shelter did not mention she was pregnant, but she clearly was. Fern was born in the puppy room at boarding in December, 2023. She has literally grown up there and boy is she ready to start her new life. She gave us quite a scare a few months back when she developed aspiration pneumonia. The poor girl had to be hospitalized for days and we thought we would lose her. She is such a fighter though and came back to us ready to take on the world and meet her forever people. We know Mom was a 40lb short haired shepherd mix. Fern currently weighs around 42lbs at 8 months old. She has the cutest curls on her rear end. Fern has been working on her leash walking and potty training, but would love a family that would show her the ropes. She is great at crating and goes right in, no issue. She knows to sit while waiting for her dinner!
