My story

Meet SOLO A1227575 (as in Hans Solo, of course), a handsome Beagle mix! WANTED: his very own Chewbacca to take him on adventures and to explore the galaxies and beyond!Here’s what we know about him while in foster:- House trained- Dog friendly with my female resident dog (slow, controlled introductions always recommended after the dog has had time to decompress in the new environment: 3-3-3 Guidelines are your best friend)- Leash trained – has been known to do a spontaneous “belly up” whenever and wherever he feels like it - lol- LIVES.FOR.SNIFFS!! Since he’s a scent hound, please be prepared to allow him to follow his nose on walks and sniff certain spots to his heart`s content (abundant patience is required when walking a scent hound)- Crate training in progress – he’s getting it!- Very food motivated – a gentle treat taker, so your fingers are safe- Very smart – knows Sit, Come, Off, No, Leash up/Leash off, Up-Up (to load up in the SUV cargo space)- LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to be petted, enjoys a good belly rub session, & is all wags when he’s told he’s “a good boy”- Will chase after the ball, but you have to fetch it yourself!- Gives little kisses and does cute vocalizations (he’s a Hound, after all) - may not be best suited for apartment living- Has prey drive, so a home with cats or other small pets is NOT recommended- Takes time to warm up to strangers; has not been around children- Rides well in the carTo schedule a Meet & Greet with SOLO, hit the `I`m Interested!` button to send an inquiry to his foster parent (it doesn`t obligate you - it just starts the conversation).
