My story

This sweet dog had a tough start in life, and it’s hard to imagine all that he’s been through. He still carries a few physical scars, but he’s made such incredible progress. In the six months we’ve had him, he’s gained weight, his beautiful coat has grown back, and he’s healing emotionally, too.When he first arrived, he was terrified—shaking and refusing to leave his crate. Now, he runs and plays with joy, loves going for walks, and has found comfort in the company of our other dogs (both male and female). He’s even taken up the important job of chasing squirrels and soaking up belly rubs!Though he’s still a little shy and may occasionally let out a fearful growl, he’s come so far. With a gentle and kind soul by his side, he will truly thrive. He’s learning to love snuggles, knows how to sit for treats, is fully house-trained, and is incredibly loyal.He’s a medium-sized pup, weighing about 48 pounds—a perfect companion for someone with patience, love, and a little extra room in their heart.
