My story

Current Location: Ijamsville, MD About Meadows: Meet Meadows! This sweet and devoted German Shepherd pup is a true "Velcro dog" who loves being near her people. She is best described as loyal, highly intelligent, and always ready for a good time. Everywhere she goes, people admire her beauty! Personality: Of all the fun activities out there, Meadows' favorite thing to do is play fetch! Meadows is also great off-leash and has fabulous recall. She would thrive with an active family that enjoys the outdoors. She loves daily walks, scent work, nose work, and really any outdoor adventure. She would even help with yard work by collecting sticks! Training and Learning: Meadows is a bright and clever pup who knows commands like "crate," "wait," "off," "sit," “find it,” and “come.” She has a wonderful eagerness to please and sleeps peacefully in her crate. Plus, she's potty trained! Meadows is also content hanging out with other dogs around her, making her a delightful companion. Bonus points - she doesn't get on the furniture at all! If you're looking for a great dog who enjoys being with people and dogs alike, Meadows may be a good match for your family! Special Considerations: Meadows has been diagnosed with Canine Compulsive Disorder (CCD), which is characterized by excessive and repetitive behaviors. She primarily exhibits these behaviors through air snapping, circling, and mouthing concrete or pavement. None of her behaviors are self-harming or destructive to objects or her surroundings. Unfortunately, she did not have the best start in life, and we believe her past experiences may have triggered these behaviors. Meadows is currently on daily medication and is undergoing behavior modification techniques to help manage her condition. Included Veterinary Care: - Health certificate from a veterinarian - Up to date on vaccinations - Spayed - Microchipped - Heartworm treated - Flea & tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments Meadows is ready to be your loyal best friend! Hit that apply button today!
