My story

Dog sociability: Yes, with proper introduction! Cat sociability: Yes, with proper introduction! Would prefer a chill cat friend to relax with Kid sociability: Likely with proper introduction and children that can respect her boundaries! Likes: Making biscuits, relaxing, laying in the sun, being brushed, warm washcloth facials, lying beside you while getting pets and chasing & batting toys across the floor Dislikes: Being picked up, easily spooked by loud noises and quick movements (this has improved some), and, while she will occasionally climb into my lap for a bit, she is not much of a lap cat yet. Bio: Mercy is a sweet and loving cat who has already been through quite a lot. She was found pregnant on the streets of Chicago and unfortunately shortly after being rescued she jumped out a 3rd floor window rupturing her uterus. None of her kittens survived. Thankfully Mercy has made a full recovery and is ready to find her forever home to relax and get all the love she deserves. Mercy is very shy initially and will need a home with someone who has the patience to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and comfortable. Once she gets there you will have the joy of watching her flourish and come out of her shell. Mercy is very content with just relaxing and/or laying in the sun, looking out the window or watching tv, but will also bat toys around the floor so she can chase them. She enjoys pets and scratches, particularly under her chin and on her rump, while she makes biscuits. She also loves being brushed (especially with a misting brush) and having her face washed with a warm washcloth. If you're looking for a super chill lower energy cat who is happy to relax with you on the couch while probably leaning against your leg Mercy just may be your gal.
