My story

Lily is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Lily is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently taking joint supplements and pain medication to help with a mild limp in her back left leg More about Lily: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone for up to 10 hours, which she prefers to being crated/confined. Leash walking: Working on it! She can tend to pull a bit, and she has shown some reactivity/frustration when other dogs are reactive toward her, but has been friendly toward other friendly dogs. Dog social: She lives with a resident dog in her foster home and has been doing well overall, but has shown some possessiveness of her food and people when overstimulated. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes! She previously lived with 3 young kids between ages 6 and 10, and has also made friends with the children in her foster's neighborhood. Lily likes: - Draping herself across you like a canine blanket - Bringing you a bone or toy in the shower if you leave the door open - she just wants to share everything with you! - Stealing the covers in bed Lily is the most loving, loyal girl who just wants to make you happy all the time. She is very affectionate and will lay across your lap at any chance she gets. She seems a little unaccustomed to walking on a leash, and would benefit from continuing to work on her loose leash walking skills with positive reinforcement training. She has shown some resource guarding behaviors over her food or person with the resident dog, seemingly when she is already overstimulated. She would need management if in a home with another dog, or may prefer to be the only dog so she doesn't have to share your affection and attention.
