My story

Meet Danni! Danni is a 4-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a playful spirit and a serious love for fetch—she’s pretty sure she’s headed for the big leagues someday! According to her foster dad, she’d happily chase a ball from sunrise to sunset if you let her. She enjoys long walks, squeaky toys, belly rubs, butt scratches, and cozy cuddle time on the couch or bed. Danni already knows helpful basics like sit and waiting politely for meals or doorways, and she’s currently working on skills like paw, lay down, and stay. She’s also potty trained and does a great job relaxing in her own space during the day! Danni can be sensitive to loud noises and may need a little reassurance in new situations (car rides included), but once she feels safe, she’s happy to tag along on all your adventures. She has shown some resource-guarding tendencies in the past, so a home without small children is recommended. While she’s not especially interested in other dogs, she can easily ignore them when she’s focused on something she loves—like fetch! Danni also has manageable allergies and does well with a simple daily medication. Though she may be a bit shy at first, Danni forms deep, lasting bonds with people who offer patience, consistency, and kindness. Once she trusts you, her affectionate, loyal personality truly shines. You’ll be rewarded with her adorable “spin dance,” happy wiggles, and the sweetest, most expressive smiles. Danni is ready to find someone special to call her own—could it be you?   Danni is currently with Town & Country Animal Rescue and is patiently waiting for her forever home. The adoption fee is $350** and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. Her adoption fee is now $100** We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family and pets for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.
