My story

Meet Major – Your Next Best Friend with a Big Personality Looking for a loyal companion with movie-star good looks and a heart full of charm? Say hello to Major, our long-term resident with a face you won’t forget and a personality that keeps us smiling every day. Major is a striking bully breed boy with chiseled muscles and a confident strut. He’s not just handsome—he’s got presence. This guy is equal parts goofy and intelligent, with a dynamic personality that shines brightest around humans who are grounded, confident, and consistent. He thrives under leadership that is both kind and firm, and he respects clear boundaries set with love. At his core, Major is a simple guy with a few favorite things: leisurely sniff walks through nature, belly rubs, toys to toss around, and playful zoomies in the yard. He prefers life at a relaxed pace and truly enjoys the little things—like stopping to smell the flowers (literally). While he has had a few dog friends in the past, Major is selective about his company, both human and canine. He’s not a fan of cats or small animals due to his strong prey drive. Major has experience living in an apartment and does well with structure and mental stimulation. He’s a smart cookie who loves learning and needs a home where his mind and body will be gently engaged—not overwhelmed. After spending far too long in shelter life, Major is more than ready to trade kennel walls for a warm bed and a forever family. Could that be you? If you’re someone who values loyalty, laughter, and long walks at a sniffing pace—Major’s waiting for you. Part of Major's adoption has been sponsored, so his adoption fee is $100 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family and pets for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission! ##1469615##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Major, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
