My story

Topher is still searching for his special someone!This sweet, goofy boy has a rare spinal condition that left him with a little “hump,” but it certainly doesn’t stop him from being full of love. Topher needs a calm, low-energy home where he can stay safe and comfortable. While his condition currently doesn’t require medication, he does take a daily joint supplement and will need an adopter who can provide regular vet care — and be prepared for any extra care he may need down the road. ?????Sadly, the shelter environment just isn’t what’s best for him — the cement floors and constant activity make it hard for him to relax. What Topher truly deserves is a cozy home, soft bed, and a loving family who will help him thrive. He loves beach days, gets along well with other dogs, and is always ready to share his goofy, lovable personality. Topher has a congenital condition affecting his spine; while the spine is supposed to be in a straight line, his is wedge shaped. Topher will need a dedicated adopter who can help him manage his condition with routine vet care and lots of love. Because he needs to avoid high-impact activity to protect his spine, Topher would thrive with someone who can provide plenty of mental stimulation and enrichment activities to keep him calm and content.
