I am playful and cute!I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!Chooky interacts with the observer, appreciates attention and allows petting on the head and cheeks, but did not appear to like being picked up during the behavior evaluation. He nipped when pick up was attempted. Please keep in mind there are many reasons why a cat may be uncomfortable with this type of handling and that this may not necessarily translate into a home environment. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Any future home with children should be counseled in respecting the cat's space and for the family to use care when picking him up, especially while he is adjusting to his new home. My foster writes: Chooky is a loving little firecracker with the heart of a lion and a full time job at the biscuit making factory. Never doing anything halfway, Chooky is an energetic guy who loves playing, food, and cuddling. Even though he didn't like the shelter very much, Chooky warmed up to his foster home right away and greets strangers like they're his new best friends. It's clear he's ready to be right back where he belongs in his furever family. His ideal home? Full of wand toys, catnip, and laps to sit in!A volunteer writes: Chooky's the type who would thoroughly enjoy managing the logistics around errands. He acts like everything is fun, totally exciting, and the best reason ever to wake up and greet the day. Each time I've opened Chooky's condo door, he's come forward in a burst of joy to join me in whatever it was I had to do. Dinner time? This is excellent! Fluffing up blankets? Well, there he is looking on with astonishment because it's his favorite and he knows how to help. Chooky seems to want to be in the middle, thereby making whatever the activity is entirely secondary because he is distractingly cute. Pushing his head into my hand like the world's most adorable bulldozer, Chooky settled into pets when I explained the cleaning was done and thought we could maybe just hang out, he treated it with equal excitement. Chooky was brought to us because his person passed away and is hoping to find a new start with a family who loves as fully as he does! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 16.8 Age: 5yrs 3mths 0wks
