My story

Hey there, I’m Big Rufus!The name’s no exaggeration… I’m definitely a big boy. But don’t let the size fool you cause I’m a total softie and the very definition of a gentle giant.I’m about 6 years old and living that sweet spot between wise old soul and overgrown puppy. I still get the zoomies now and then (especially if you’ve got a tennis ball!), but most of the time I’m a laid-back guy who just wants to be part of your day. I’m equally down for a car ride, a mellow hike, or stretching out on the couch like a 90-pound lap dog. As long as I’m with you, I’m happy.I’ve got a soft spot for treats... Ok, a big soft spot! So if you’ve got snacks and a tennis ball, we’re basically best friends already. I just want to be where you are, doing whatever you’re doing, soaking up all the love and giving it right back. I’m a loyal, affectionate buddy who’s looking for a comfy retirement home with someone who gets that `chill but still fun` vibe.Now, let’s talk logistics: no cats for me, please. We don’t get along. I do well with most dogs, though, especially if they’re cool with my size and mellow energy. A meet-and-greet is always a good idea so we can make sure everyone’s comfortable.So if you’re looking for a big-hearted, tennis-ball-chasing, treat-loving couch co-pilot, I think you just found your guy.
