My story
We were alerted to a momma in need of a way out of the outdoor strife she’d been surviving with her little family, and invited her to stay with us while we helped her recover from her treacherous past. Time in our Feline Behavior & Long-Term Care Home gave Velveteen the setting she needed to work out what part humans can take in adding to her life. Aided by other empathetic cat companions, Velveteen has summoned up her burgeoning courage to venture into playgroups, whimsically watching with her wondering eyes how she’ll fit into this life indoors. An experienced home with older children, and a cat to guide her in her first real home will set reasonable expectations for her as she continues to grow into an appreciation for the new safer lifestyle she’s learning to love. ##2121326##
