My story

Meet Max — a.k.a. Professor Snugglepants 🐾 Nicknamed Professor Snugglepants, Max has dedicated his life’s work to the study of human affection. His findings? Laps are essential. Snuggles are healing. And love is best served warm—with a side of tail wags. This polite young gentleman is the total package: medium-to-low energy, low maintenance, and absolutely brimming with love. Max is past the wild puppy phase but still young enough to enjoy long hikes and fun adventures with his people—before returning home to his rightful place: your lap. Max is food-motivated, crate and potty trained, and incredibly well-behaved in the home. He doesn’t need to be crated, but he enjoys having one as a cozy retreat. When he’s not snuggled up with you, he’s content to entertain himself with toys or nap in a sunbeam like the noble scholar he is. He’s especially sweet with kids and currently lives with children in his foster home, where he’s proven to be gentle, affectionate, and totally smitten with his little human companions. His foster would love to see him in a home where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. Max is still polishing his leash skills, but he’s eager to please and making great progress. He’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only cuddle buddy, but could also thrive with a friendly female dog companion.
