My story

Meet Ophelia, the most beautiful four-legged potato we've ever seen. This kind of perfection doesn't just happen, it's the result of years of hard napping and snackies. Ophelia is ready to retire from a busy life of being perfect, and can't wait to spend her time focusing on what's really important in life: napping. Here's some notes from her foster: Ophelia is such a sweetie pie. Though blind and deaf, she has a really good sense of her surroundings all things considered. (Sometimes I swear she can see me or hear a bit.) She's a very curious pup and loves sniffing all over - inside and out. She will take a day or two to adjust to her new home during which time she really gets her steps in sniffing around -- she took about 24 hours of being here to sit/lay for more than a couple minutes at a time. Ironically, she loves to walk about but on an actual "walk" seems to have mixed feelings. She'll walk just fine outdoors but will stop to sniff as she pleases for as long as she pleases, so in my experience it's not a very speedy walk. She gets along well with anyone - kids, humans, and dogs alike (I'm sure cats or other animals as well - just haven't seen it) - and doesn't get alarmed easily. When left alone, she'll sniff about or take a nap on her bed or a blanket (or my sweatshirt left on the carpet). She does potty on a more frequent basis, but less as she's gotten in the swing of a routine at my home and she takes a couple minutes outside to wander before she ever does the deed. Ophelia would be a great addition to your home - you'll love hearing her little pug-like sniffs around the house and giving her cuddles.
