My story

Found abandoned and tethered with no food or water, sweet, friendly Sparrow was rescued by our animal control officers. Since arriving at ACPS, we’ve discovered this girl loves a Kong toy, especially if it’s stuffed with treats! Initially, Sparrow is very excitable, but once she’s had a chance to walk off some energy, she does better on a leash. She already knows a few commands and appears to have been housebroken, though shelter dogs usually need a couple of days to get used to a new home’s routine. Because of her high energy and play style, we recommend a home with older kids rather than small ones, and with someone who is willing to put time in to training this smart girl who has loads of potential.
