My story

Hi friends! My name is Lando and I am a 1.5 year old, male neutered Shepherd mix, weighing around 48 lbs. I was surrendered to a high-kill shelter by my owner who gave up on caring for me. TAP rescued me on the day I was scheduled to be killed, and I am here waiting for my pawfect home. I am fully bathroom trained, do really well putting on a harness, but could practice loose leash walking more. I don't love the crate and need to be bribed in with treats, but once in, I will relax. My foster mama says I am the sweetest ball of energy! I am all heart and I really am thankful and grateful for my saved life. I love my people, and get quite playful with other dogs. I enjoy affection and chilling around my family once I have my energies out. I have lived with older children/young teens and have been great with them as long as food is not involved. I am active, energetic and playtime is the best! I make a wonderful running/workout buddy and a playmate for doggos. I rarely bark! I get a bit anxious when left alone at home, but it can be managed. My foster mama says I am the sweetest ball of energy! I am all heart and I really am thankful and grateful for my saved life. I love my people, and get quite playful with other dogs. I am active, energetic and playtime is the best! I make a wonderful running/workout buddy and a playmate for doggos. I rarely bark! I get a bit anxious when left alone at home, but it can be managed. I have successfully completed a board and train to help with resource guarding human food and gain proper training skills. I have been not fun around food and I do realize that I need to control that. I would love a foster or foster to adopt family who can continue my training, with the kitchen being off-limits and an adults-only home or with teenagers. I am just a sweet boy who got a rough start. I will keep my adopter laughing with my goofy antics. I would do best in a home with another playful dog, without young children and/or with adults or teenage children who can be cognizant of my resource-guarding human food, with an active owner who will let me play, run, and walk. I would prefer company through the day and not be left alone for too long while I work on separation anxiety. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. I am looking for a foster or foster to adopt family and here are the form links!
