My story

This is Warren... This handsome guy is one of the dogs who came to GRRAND from the horrible hoarding situation in Sept 2024. He is a Lab Mix weighing about 60ish lbs. We are so happy to report that Warren is in a foster home and they have sent this fabulous update on him on 7-3: "Warren's personality is one of an old soul. He loves to sun bath outside and to hang out on his dog bed. He is a pretty low maintenance dog. He does get very excited whenever you get home or when your alarm goes off in the morning. He gets the extra large dose of wiggle butts and talks almost like a husky and he makes you feel like the most important person in the world. He is also very polite as he takes treats gently and is not pushy when it comes to his meals. We are now working on basic commands and leash skills!  He gets along with cats and dogs and in fact, he loves their company. He is also content with human affection as well so i think he would be a good fit for a house with or without companions permitting he got interactions in other forms.  He free roams when we are gone and has never gone potty in the house. He is very much a gentleman. He loves sleeping on his dog bed and occasionally will get on our bed when invited. Only thing we have to do right now is pick up our shoes. He does like to take the ones left on the ground and chew on laces. But hey! He is just helping you clean up. He has not picked up anything else and has had plenty of opportunities to do so.  This boy so deserves a home after his life. He truly is such a good dog that has so many wonderful qualities and will make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family". When Warren was in the kennel, the GRRAND kennel staff said: "Warren is one of the sweet dogs rescued from the Spencer County hoarding situation. He is wonderful with other dogs. He plays with a pack of friendly pups every day in our play yard. He is a beautiful 4 year old, neutered male. He does not mess in his run, and is learning to trust people and accept loving pets! We are working on getting him used to a leash, and making steady progress. Warren is ready to go to a loving home, with or without another stable dog. He does need a secure fenced yard as he is still considered a flight risk." Please check back for more info later... but if you would like to meet Warren, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org A beacon of hope shines bright as GRRAND and animal advocates across the commonwealth collaborate to help rescue animals trapped in a devastating hoarding situation on a rural County Kentucky farm. Advocates eagerly await justice for the abused animals and the swift rescue of those still suffering in inhumane conditions. It's awful to think of the terrible lives and abuse they have been subjected to. A litter of 4 week old puppies were found on the property and all had to be treated at the Emergency Vet for Parvo to save their lives and sadly, one did not make it. We have extremely high vet expenses for these dogs and really need ongoing donations to pay for all their care and we are also in desperate need of foster homes for these dogs.  As we continue to assess Warren's needs, additional information to come, so please check back for more updates... If you would like to open up your heart and home to foster or adopt Warren, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org, and if you would like to donate to Warren's care, please visit the GOFUNDME link at https://www.gofundme.com/f/rescue-for-dogs-in-deplorable-conditions ##2180221##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Warren, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
