KNOWN DISLIKES: Sudden loud noises, people who move too quickly, loud traffic. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Faith arrived at Homeward Trails through a rural shelter with which we collaborate. Although she was adopted, she was returned because her previous owner felt she had become "too big," which we interpret as a misunderstanding of her size—she is just right! Faith is a delightful and affectionate girl who can be a bit shy around new people. However, once she becomes familiar with you, she will be your loyal friend for life. She enjoys snuggling next to her human and likes to follow them around, eager to assist with any tasks at hand. Faith is often found sitting beside her foster while they work, occasionally offering her help by typing on the computer or gently tapping your arm when she feels it's time for some attention. She adores belly rubs and chin scratches, and if you find her "sweet spot" while petting her, you may notice her leg moving in delight—this is what we refer to as her “right tickle spot.” Faith interacts well with other dogs and loves to engage in zoomies, running in circles without tiring or getting dizzy. She also enjoys playing with squeaky toys, often squeaking them repeatedly. Not only does she bring her toys to you for playtime, but she will also fetch a ball for you to throw, relishing the game of catch. Tug of war is another favorite pastime of hers, so be prepared—she excels at it! On walks, Faith is well-behaved on a leash. She may pull slightly if she spots a squirrel or bird, but otherwise, she walks nicely. When she does pull, it’s a gentle tug rather than a strong drag. Faith loves to explore her surroundings, taking in all the interesting scents and sights, showcasing her curious nature. Food is one of Faith's greatest loves. She is highly motivated by treats, so if you want to win her affection, offering her food is the way to go. Her favorites include hotdogs, cheese, and Kongs filled with peanut butter. Faith is an extraordinary girl with an abundance of love to give. In return, all she asks for is food, water, potty breaks, and a safe environment in your home. Come meet her, and you will undoubtedly fall in love with her instantly.
