My story

Greetings earthlings, I`m not from another planet but I sure do feel like an alien some days! My name is Acorn and I am a 10-month-old male puppy that has been living in this shelter all of my short life. All of my siblings found their forever homes except for me and it`s starting to make me really sad. I am not extraterrestrial after all and have already mastered the fine art of being adorable, sharing face kisses, and showing off tail wags because I’m a quick learner.I was adopted by a lovely lady along with another puppy here and we were sent to puppy school together for training before going to our lady`s house. Two puppies though ended up being one too many and since I was still at puppy school, I was sent back to the shelter. I am still learning puppy manners and will need some training to help me become a well-behaved resident in my forever home. I respond wonderfully to positive reinforcement, making training a fun and rewarding experience for me and you too! My trainer was very nice and taught me many basic skills and she will follow me to my forever family to show you all that I was taught. That`s a really great gift from my trainer to you.I`m the kind of guy that welcomes each new day with a bounce in my step and a smile on my face. I`m full of puppy joy, enthusiasm, and have sweet puppy eyes. I am energetic, curious and I will keep you smiling all day long. I am still figuring out some things about life as a dog and need a parent to nudge me, guide me, love me and get me on a great path to full doggie hood!I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving friend who will grow up by your side... I am your boy. Sometimes I am nervous when I meet people for the first time so please go slowly with me as shelter life isn`t easy. We both have lots of expectations of each other and it may take a meeting or two for us to feel safe together.
