FANTASMA*

My story

Fantasma, or “ghost,” in Spanish, may, like her namesake, be overlooked or go unnoticed in the shelter due to her reserved presence in her kennel. Some dogs vie for your attention, but this sweet and gentle girl is just patiently biding her time, waiting for someone to see her and give her the chance to reveal her amazing personality.This sweet girl is a volunteer favorite, with many fans lining up to sing her praises:“Fantasma is a very nice walker who takes treats extremely gently. She loves to have her cheeks and under her chin petted. She’s a bit shy at first, but a very good girl and a nice dog to walk.”“Fantasma is easy to leash and she exits the kennel with no issues. On our walk she actually prances, something really special to see! No pulling at all. Fantasma likes to take it slow, with lots of sniffing and at one time enjoyed a nice roll in the dirt. She is very attentive to her handler, loves treats, and likes to get lots and lots of petting.”“Fantasma is a very sweet girl once she knows you. She waits at the kennel door to go out for walks with a little tail wag. She`s not reactive to other dogs she passes and she walks well. Good job Fantasma!”Fantasma would love to find a home with a patient family who understands that the shelter is a pretty stressful place and will give her time to decompress and settle into a safe and secure environment.
