My story

Location: Marion, SD Hi Everybody. I am Payton. I am a Shephard mix. I am fully potty trained, however, I do have an occasional accident when I get excited to see you. I do not require a kennel and can have free roam of the house when my fosters aren’t home. I will be 2 years old in September. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl ever. I love sleeping with her and my foster dad. I like to be close to my humans. I do like to drag my foster mom’s stuff to the living room when she isn’t home. I don’t damage anything, I just like to have her shoes and shirts near me. I think they make me feel safe. I have gone to the dog wash and have had my nails clipped and done good at both. I love to snuggle and give kisses. We are still working on my jumping habit. I just get so excited to see you that I jump to let you know I’m there. I am getting better, but still have work to do. I’m not real sure what I think of other dogs yet. There is an old man dog (small) that comes to visit. I don’t mind having him around. But when his lab brother comes over, I tend to growl at him. I am not sure why he bothers me. I will say that he is starting to grow on me a little. The other day I even played with him. But I am still not a big fan of his. I will play with a toy once in a while, but I can’t seem to find one I really like. I live out in the country now and love it. Lots of room to explore. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
