My story

Mona is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Mona is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - A senior gal who has cataracts, some missing teeth, and a small lump in her mammary gland. Her adopter should follow up on these items with their private vet. More about Mona: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well with free roam overnight and when home alone, and has also been crated when home alone though can sometimes bark a bit in her crate Leash walking: She can tend to pull a bit, though has been easy to manage given her tiny stature. She would benefit from working on this with positive reinforcement. Dog social: She has lived with other dogs in foster and co-existed well after a slow intro period Cat social: She lives with a cat in her foster home, but has mainly been kept separated as she can be sensitive to the cat being in her space Kid friendly: She would do best in an adult-only home, due to some body sensitivity Mona likes: - Giving happy tail wags when you enter the room - Being a fall fashionista in her tiny sweatshirts (which she will take off overnight while she sleeps soundly by your feet) - Cuddling up in a warm lap or warm blankie Mona is a little love bug who has slowly been coming out of her shell. While she is missing teeth, it only makes her more charming! She gets the zoomies a few times a day and will chase you around the house while also bucking like a horse. She also has the cutest little tongue that sticks out whenever she's sleeping or resting. She likes slow intros to new pups and does best with respectful dog pals, and then is happy to co-exist with them. She also politely requests consent to give her pets on her own terms, as she has shown some body sensitivity. Mona's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, and she is eager to cuddle up with her forever family! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mona, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
