My story

Fans of the 90’s sitcom “Home Improvement” remember Wilson as the ever present, sage backyard neighbor who was always ready to give a bit of advice over the top of his fence. He was the voice of reason and often helped his neighbors through tough times. We think that our Wilson will similarly provide love, a listening ear and consistent support to his furever family!Wilson is a Day Trip fan-favorite here at the shelter- here’s what some of his day trip buddies have said about him:“Wilson is loving, cuddly, happy; he didn`t meet a person he didn`t like. He loved looking at the people walking by and would lean and roll over to get cuddles and rubs”.“Wilson is curious and cuddly; he’s the sweetest dog who loves to be right by your side. He is a very good boy.”“He was very sweet and he loves to give kisses! Wilson is sociable and fun, he likes to ride in the car, he’s leash trained, he likes to be outdoors and go on hikes.” Wilson is also beloved by his volunteer friends, who have shared:“Wilson is the sweetest house hippo! I had him in a play yard today and he just wanted to snuggle and be by my side the entire time! He is very gentle and would climb up next to me on the bench just to have his body close and give the sweetest gentle kisses. He`s a very sweet, gentle boy! I previously walked him and he was a happy walker, enjoying snuggle time when we made our way to a grassy area. He will make such a wonderful addition to a loving family!”Wilson would like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure it’s a good match.
