Madge

My story

Madge is a "have to see in person" dog. Yes she is cute in her pictures and video, but in person she is to die for! Besides her miniature beefy bod, her mouth and coloring are so amazing. Madge soaks up attention and gobbles up all the treats. She appears to be without the knowledge of commands. Our requests for sitting went in one ear and out the other, but maybe she is too excited someone is giving her love to listen. Madge is pretty skinny so we get her focus on food. She is still so fun even as a hungry hippo. Came in as a stray on 9/23/24. Found near 5200 S. Talman Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information. The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
