My story

Hi! I'm Roxi! I'm an approximately 5 year old, female, Lab mix, who weighs around 66 Lbs. I was surrendered by my owners on 09/17/2024 because they were moving and could not take me. I am very excited to meet new people! I am a higher energy dog but I settle down once it's time to relax. I am always ready for a new adventure! I love belly rubs and a good back scratch. I enjoy chasing a tennis ball around and playing with toys in general. Treats work well when trying to teach me new tricks. I do best with dogs my size or bigger. I am not recommended with cats. I love kids and enjoy spending my time making them laugh! If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furever home for 218 days as of 04/23/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Since I am in foster, meet and greets will be by approved application only. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
