My story

Hello, my name is Jasmine! Sometimes my humans call me Jazzy. I am made up of lots of different breeds, so I talk and sing like a Husky, I am smart like a Shepard, and I am strong and protective like Boxers and Pits. One ear is tall and proud, the other not so much but it gives me character, so I don't mind too much. I have big brown expressive eyes to go with all my different emotions. I know how to sit, shake, place and leave it. My favorite game in the whole wide world is watching the squirrels in the big oak tree out back. But I also like to play tug of war, run, chase and fetch. Sometimes after a nice run around the yard, I hop onto the first step of my pool to cool off, but I am not fond of swimming. I am really good at catching things too, and don't even think about getting ice for yourself and not tossing me a cube or two. My favorite indoor activity is to sit in a lap and nap. It isn't my fault if your lap isn't quite big enough. When I was really young, my humans discovered that I really like the sound that happens when you roll your "rs. That sound is super exciting to me. I am 100% potty trained. I even ring a bell that hangs by the back door to let everyone know that I need to go out. I sleep indoors and prefer to share your bed with you, but I am fine with sleeping in a dog bed or on the floor if your bed isn't an option. I will not bother you when you are sleeping unless I need to go outside (for personal reasons). I love attention. Please talk to me and give me reassurances and affirmations as you pet me. I deserve soft caresses near my ears and neck, and I love belly rubs. I do okay when I am alone but feel much more secure when you are home. I am not crate trained, but I only chew on toys that have been given to me. Sometimes I like to carry a sock bundle around, but I don't chew on it. I love human visitors. I've never met a human I didn't like. I get very excited and kind of loud when someone comes to see me. I have never met a young human, so I am not sure how I feel about that. My humans adopted me in January 2021 when I was about 8 weeks old. They brought me home and introduced me to my new siblings, two mini-Aussies. I love my siblings 99% of the time but as siblings do, sometimes I get a little jealous and competitive. I may have even sent one of them to the emergency vet one time. I felt really bad about it and apologized a million times. I have completed an anti-aggression training program at Off Leash K9 Training in Lewisville, TX. I did very well, and I am very responsive to my training collar. I am on my best behavior when I am wearing it. I am much less reactive to noises on the other side of the fence or from the street than I used to be. My humans say I am super sweet, and that re-homing me is a really hard thing to do because they love me so much, but they also think I might be happier in a home without other canines. I have never met a cat, but cats are small, and they look tasty. Thank you for reading my story; If you would like to meet me, please reach out to my humans. Jasmine s participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program. All iRehome dogs are being rehomed by their current owner. All iRehome behavioral and medical information is provided by the dog's current owner. TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with the current owner prior to completing the adoption process.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jasmine, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
