My story

Hello there, I'm Missy. I'm a sweet, friendly, and gentle soul. I might be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be the best of friends. I love to spend my days relaxing and enjoying the simple things in life. My mellow nature makes me a perfect companion for those calm and quiet evenings. I'm not the type to cause a fuss, and I promise to always be there for you with a wagging tail and a gentle nuzzle. I'm just looking for a loving home where I can share my love and kindness. Adopting me means gaining a loyal and loving friend for life.  And I would love to find a home that will let me bring my sister, Poppy, along too! This pet is eligible for the PETS FOR PATRIOTS adoption program. Adoption Process If you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, the adoption fee is $75 if she is adopted with Poppy, a generous volunteer is supporting the other half of their adoption fees. ##2143663##
