My story

Meet Skender! His ideal home would be with adults or a family with older kids and a fenced backyard. He loves being around people and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. This affectionate Velcro pup adores being scratched and loved on. At about 50 pounds, he’s a “smedium” guy with a short, sturdy frame and a big personality. Skender enjoys watching the neighborhood and is very vocal, impressing everyone with his ability to let you know when it’s dinner time or time to go outside. After some snuggle time on the couch, he’s happy to settle in his crate for the night. And food? Skender LOVES it—any food, anytime!He gets along well with neutral dogs, like his foster family’s male lab, but is an independent pup who enjoys their company without needing constant interaction. While he hasn’t been cat-tested, his enthusiasm for hunting squirrels suggests he might not be the best fit for a home with cats.Skender is working on leash reactivity and playful mouthiness. He’s a smart boy who just needs a little redirection to be his best self. With the right family, Skender will be a loyal and loving companion, ready to fill your home with joy!
