My story

When we first met Hunter, he was locked away in a basement, trapped in a small cage, and covered in his own waste. Despite such hardship and neglect, Hunter’s heart has remained as bright as ever. This sweet boy never let his spirit break, and now he’s finally ready to find the loving home he’s always deserved—a home that will show him what kindness truly feels like. Here’s why Hunter is so special: Boundless Joy – Hunter has a zest for life that’s nothing short of inspiring. He loves to play, run, and celebrate every moment of freedom he has. His joy in a game of fetch or simple zoomies around the yard is contagious. Devoted Companion – Hunter craves connection and will soak up every bit of love and attention you give him. When the day winds down, he’ll be right by your side, making sure you know how grateful he is to have someone to snuggle with at last. Sensitive Soul – After everything he’s been through, Hunter seems to understand emotions deeply. When you’re feeling down, he’s right there, as if he knows you need comfort, and he’ll happily be your steady source of strength. Loyal Bed Buddy – Hunter wants to be close to his people, especially when it’s time to rest. He’s all about curling up in bed with you, finding warmth in the simple act of being nearby. Bright Learner – Hunter is eager to please and loves learning new things. His intelligence and loyalty make him an incredible partner, whatever you’re doing together. Perfectly Potty Trained – No accidents with this guy; he’s already mastered his manners in the home. On a fun note; Hunter is OBSESSED with his ball and never wants to be away from it!! (and we mean NEVER) Hunter is a dog with an incredible capacity for love and joy, despite all he’s endured. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
