My story

Rufus is a smart and attentive 7-year-old who thrives when he has your full attention. He’s a sweetheart who enjoys being close to his people, whether that’s following you around the house or relaxing together on the deck. Rufus loves spending time outdoors—walks, hikes, and quiet moments watching the world go by are some of his favorite things. He’s well-mannered, knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down, and learns quickly with consistent guidance. Because of his strong personality and high drive, Rufus would do best as the only pet in a home with older children who understand his needs. He isn’t a fan of cats or other dogs, but in the right environment, he’s a loyal, loving companion who thrives with structure and affection.
