What my friends at ACC say about me:I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!A volunteer writes: Sophie is trying to make new friends. She's adorably curious and knows that consistency is key when building new habits (and new friendships), which is exactly why Sophie comes to the front of her condo to say hi. Like any of us, trying and learning new things however, she could use a bit of guidance on where to go with next steps. Sophie thanked me for the treats I offered and graciously nuzzled my hand but then regarded me quizzically. Returning to her cubby to sort through her options, I really have to hand it to this very lovely and very relatable kitty, as she ultimately decided that the options were too rich and varied for her at the moment. I've been there too and though Sopphie elected to remain in her cubby, she asked if we could help her get the word out.
