My story

Geneva came into the shelter with Zurich (A283379). They were found wandering the south side together. They’re both attractive, black shepherd-y dogs. Geneva has perky ears and a great smile. She is friendly and engages nicely. Geneva likes to bounce around on her hind legs but she will sit nicely for treats. She chases toys and hopped in the empty pool a few times. Geneva seems like she was well cared for, so we hope her people come for her soon. Came in as a stray on 10/17/24 Found with A283379 around 10600 S. State St. in Chicago. Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information. The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
