My story

Meet Freya – your future best friend and cuddle buddy! Freya is a sweet, soulful girl who has truly blossomed in her foster home. She’s house trained, doesn’t beg for food, ignores crinkly snack wrappers like a pro, and has no interest in the trash. She’s also the best snuggler — like clockwork, she’ll gently nudge your hand around 8:00 p.m. every night to remind you it’s scritchie time. Freya is crate trained, but her foster hasn't needed to use one since working from home. When left alone, she does well with pee pads. She enjoys her daily walks and is building stamina — she’s up to about 2.5 miles a day! Freya can jump a 4-foot chain-link fence, so she'll need a fully enclosed yard or someone committed to taking her out on leash. She's calm around cats and used to do great with other dogs, but after an isolated incident a few months ago, she’s shown some reactivity on walks. Her foster is working on slowly rebuilding her confidence around other pups and helping her feel secure in those situations. It took Freya a few days to warm up, but once she did — she was all in. She’d thrive in a calm, patient home where someone is around most of the time. Her gentle nature and love of routine make her a wonderful companion, and her foster suspects she may be a bit older than her records suggest — maybe around 5 years old.
