My story

Spot A16987242 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -A very timid boy but he’s trying! -The more time we spent together the more comfortable he became-Kept approaching for pets and if you stop he will slowly paw at you for more-Loud noises and quick movements over his head make him duck. Poor baby. -The way to earn his trust is with treats. He loves them! Sits and takes them very gently.-Not interested in toys yet-He needs a low traffic home and a patient adopter or foster to help him learn to trust!-He deserves to know unconditional love forever!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
