Seems like Roxie Rose has been attacked by some dogs that left her body with several bite marks at her ears and face. One ear had a hematoma and she had a cherry eye. Both were removed during surgery yesterday. We would like to thank Dr. Evans for taking her in so quickly and doing a wonderful job. Roxie Rose is approximately 2 1/2 years old and weighs 24 pounds which we believe that some of her weight comes from human food. Right now she is trying to out wait her foster mom to give her human food and refuses to eat the dry kibble but she will get the hang of it.  I will post new pictures once she has healed a bit next week.  We anticipate that Roxie Rose will be cleared to go to her new home in 2 weeks without any further medical needs.  She may even lose a few pounds without so much human food!   She is just a very spoiled, normal dog who loves to sleep with you and follow you all over the house. These pictures are before her surgery and right after she woke up. Thank you.  If you are intereted in adopting Roxie Rose, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
